Hexagon Quilt

Well I have at last finished the hexagon quilt, I can’t remember when I started it but one of the papers I removed at the end was dated 1981!!

It had been packed away for ages in an old trunk, then unpacked and packed away again, finally decided it had to be finished when it was too hot for the normal quilt on the bed and we needed something lighter. It was a little tricky towards the end as once it was all together it was rather large and moving it around was hard work.

However the table in the boat is much bigger than the one in the RV so that was a bonus. So now it is on the bed and once it cools down, at about 4am, we have a lightweight cover for the rest of the night. Now all I have to do is sort out another project to keep me quiet, maybe that seaside quilt in Lesley Brankin’s book or maybe I should finish the American States quilt I started nearly 5 years ago!!!

Joseph’s Quilt

Joseph's Quilt 002

I have finished Joseph’s Quilt, its a cot quilt and I estimated the fabric I needed so I ended up with loads left over. I made some more patches and made a matching tote bag. I hope Sarah likes them, I did some research and it appears babies like bright colours and especially red.
